To be a Master Jeweler or “Usta” in Turkish means that the individual has trained and reached a specialized level in all areas of handcrafting and finishing jewelry. This usually culminates in a signature technique which results in only being able to create a handful of couture jewels a year. They are also able to teach these multiple layers of jewelry making to a new generation of jewelers. These are true artists dedicated to their craft; while the world moves towards technology & speed, we are fortunate to experience their mastery.
