Makbule Sema Bereketlioğlu was born in Istanbul in 1958. She is a graduate of Bakırköy Girls’ Vocational School and Anadolu University. She took fashion design classes at Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University in 1997, and jewelry design classes at Kadırga Vocational High School in 2006. She received training from masters of Grand Bazaar, and from Ayfer Akbulut and Faruk Muğurtay at Bostancı Public Education Center. She combined filigree with ceramics. She was a finalist in the competition of World Gold Council and was included in the book that was prepared. She still works as a master instructor in filigree, jewelry and jewelry design branches at İSMEK.
