Mr. Ocal was born in Istanbul in 1971. He is a graduate of Anadolu University. He started his artistic career by working as the apprentice of Varujan Emekçiyan at the Grand Bazaar in 1983. He opened his own workshop, after working with Papken Ozuzun, Onno Gultasyan, Civak Arsik, Herman Işıkçı and Muammer Senay. He gave handicrafts jewel making techniques, design and projects classes as an instructor at Marmara University and Gazi University. He took part in many group and personal exhibitions, participated in various conferences and seminars.
