Mr. Durmaz was born in Istanbul in 1969. He began as an apprentice in 1981. He opened his own workshop in 1995 which is located at present in the Cağaoğlu neighborhood of Istanbul, right outside the gates of the Grand Bazaar. He is primarily focusing on mounting, but also creating many of his own designs.
