Fatma Ayran was born in Mersin in 1991. She learned the art of mother-of-peal inlaying through a master-apprentice relationship. She received illumination training from Hatice Aksu between 2002 and 2006 and inlaying training from Ahmet Sezen and Salih Balakbabalar between 2006 and 2009. She took illumination classes from Münevver Ücer and opened her own inlaying workshop in 2010. She participated in various exhibitions, received a Ministry of Culture and Tourism Mother-of-Pearl Inlayer Certificate in 2013. She continues her artistic works.
